Are you finding yourself more forgetful these days? Studies show that we are losing our capacity to remember for several reasons. One of which is our increasing dependence on technology. The act of remembering is an essential aspect of our discipleship to Jesus. It is important to remember who God is and what He has done for us and so throughout the Bible God reminds us to remember. Our tendency is to forget God and live as if it is all up to us! Jesus understood this and is why He gave us the simple meal we know as the Lord's Supper or Communion as a tangible way of remembering His Presence and great love for us. This Sunday we will explore why we are prone to forget and why remembering is so significant. How do we escape the spiral of forgetfulness and move to a path of meaningful remembrance?
