December Update

Here is our monthly update on our building project, prayer requests, fundraising progress and photos.

CONSTRUCTION & MOVE-IN UPDATE

With Christmas almost here, we are excited to celebrate with our church family together at Adams Hall @ CABC. While our team was holding out hope to finally begin using our property, we continued to run into challenges related to the fire sprinkler issue we have been stuck on for the past several months. We finally got approval from the City, started the work, only to discover things were not the way the City described. This triggered new processes and permitting needs. This past Friday, we received new permits and the work is now active again. We also passed our electrical and pre-final inspections … our pre-final inspector was quite impressed with our space and suggested very minor signage additions. Phew! We are hopeful all will be completed very soon and we will begin using the space in early 2022.   

We are very grateful to the many who have been helping us get the space ready to welcome guests! We hosted a workday in November and saw much of our furniture assembled. Since then, many volunteers continue to visit the space completing projects throughout the week as items continue to arrive. We send out a weekly list and you can volunteer as your schedule allows. PRAYER REQUESTS

• Pray that all the work related to connecting our fire sprinklers to the City’s waterline is completed swiftly without any further delay. 
•  Pray we pass our final inspection and receive an occupancy permit in January.
• Pray the contractors finish strong. That all final details are tended to well.
• Pray for the continued safety of our construction site and all those working on the job. 
• This month please specifically pray for the staff working on our project at the City of San Diego. Pray for the Lord’s blessing and wisdom on them as they navigate many construction projects around our City.
• Pray for the remaining provision necessary to complete our church home.

HOME CAMPAIGN

We are seeing great momentum in the home stretch of our HOME Campaign, especially as year end approaches! Please consider giving a Christmas gift to Flood this year. Every dollar counts and will help us fund the remaining needs for the space and begin using it for Kingdom impact! We need to raise the remaining $542,287, ideally by the end of this year.

Includes conversion of two-story warehouse to a multi-use space that will include worship auditorium, classrooms, offices and cafe.
