Soft Launch: Everything You Need to Know

March 02, 2022

Church Family,

It is setting up to be an exciting Sunday as we officially open our doors and host our 10am Worship Gathering including Flood Kids (infant-5th grade) and Youth! I could not think of a better season for our first Sunday at our new church home, as Lent has officially begun. Lent is a season where we draw near to God, as we anticipate the resurrection celebrated on Easter Sunday. I hope you can join us for this memorable and meaningful Sunday. To help ensure a great experience, we wanted to communicate a few helpful details below ... including some recent pictures of our space coming together!

Please also remember to bring your 1st and 10 tithe with you. We are seeking to trust God together in this new chapter of our Flood story. One tangible way is to practice regular giving. Envelopes will be available or you can always give online at FloodChurch.org/Give

Thank you to all who made this milestone possible. Grateful for Christ’s hope and healing today!

Pastor Matt

Sundays at Flood: Everything You Need to Know

This Sunday will begin our soft launch season. Please pardon our dust as we continue to complete projects. As with any new home, we finally have the keys and permit to use the space, but need more time to make the space feel extra hospitable and sacred. For example, our auditorium chairs are on back order. Our hope is to host an Open House and Building Dedication Event on Sunday May 15.

Where are you located?
4772 Alvarado Canyon, San Diego, CA 92120

Where should I park?
Follow the signs to park in the lower lot. Additional parking is available on the street and at the US Post Office.

What time will the gathering begin?
10am

When should I arrive?
Arrive 10-15 minutes early to park, enjoy our cafe and check-in children if you have them. Newcomers should begin at the Welcome Table in the lobby to say hello and receive a free gift.

What will be served at the Cafe?
Enjoy free coffee, hot chocolate and tea in the cafe. Specialty hand shaken cold brews will also be available for donation.

What will be available for Kids & Youth?
Our Flood Kids (infant – 5th) and Youth ministries will be available during the gathering. We ask new families to begin the check-in process at the Welcome Table in the lobby. Children are also always welcome in the main gathering.

Is there a space designated for nursing mothers?
You are welcome to nurse wherever you feel comfortable. For your convenience there is a lounge area in the downstairs women's restroom and a nursing area in Early Childhood (please check-in with a leader before entering). Changing tables are available in both restrooms in the lobby as well.

Are there any COVID guidelines?
Based on declining COVID cases, vaccine availability, and the recent lifting of the mask mandate, masking is now optional in all ministry areas.

What is the latest fundraising update?
Nearly 3 years ago we launched the HOME Campaign to fund the complete renovation of our space. To date we have received $3,300,021 through gifts and fulfilled pledges!! We still need to raise $380,000 to fully fund this phase of our project. We need to see all pledges fulfilled by March 31st and welcome any new gifts to help us meet this final need. Give today at FloodChurch.org/Home
