Flood Groups meet on various days during the week in different areas of San Diego. Please email the leader provided under the particular group you would like to join or to find out more information.


COED GROUPS

Newish Parents Monthly Social Hour (kids ages 0-5) - Flood Cafe

LEADERS: Nicholas and Stephanie are parents of a child under 2 and see an opportunity to build a more robust parent community at Flood.
DATES: Saturdays 3:00-4:30pm - January 17, February 21, March 7, April 11, May 16
DESCRIPTION: An opportunity to get to know other Flood parents of young children in a kid-friendly environment. Bring your kid(s). Light refreshments provided.

COED GROUP (open to all) Wednesdays - Clairemont

LEADERS: Aaron and Vicki Buttery live in Clairemont with their two young sons. Aaron is a prison chaplain and Vicki is a clinical psychologist.
DESCRIPTION: If the thought of sharing your faith with others makes you uncomfortable, this group is for you! Jesus commands us to love others and make disciples, yet many feel ill equipped and don’t know where to begin. By being intentional with prayer and practical tools, we will learn how to develop relationships that point others to Jesus.

WOMEN'S GROUPS

Women's Group with Monthly Meetings - Flood Cafe

DATES: Mondays, 6:00-7:45pm, 2nd Monday of each month, Cafe, Beginning January 12th

DESCRIPTION: Looking to connect each month? Women of all ages are welcome to participate in this monthly group for women, including connection, prayer, Scripture, snacks, opportunities to serve, and more.

Women's Wednesday Morning Group - Flood Rm 206

DATES: Wednesday Mornings, 10:00-11:30am, Beginning January 28th
LEADERS: Saundra Johnson and Barbara Shustek
DESCRIPTION: This group is for women of all ages.  We'll meet for Bible Study and prayer to draw close to Jesus and each other.

Women's Support Group - Flood Rm 206

DESCRIPTION: This group is designed to be a safe and supportive environment for women who have experienced, or are experiencing infertility and/or miscarriage. Come, experience the comfort of God in this space where your story can be heard and your pain understood.

LEADER: Aaron Buttery is a chaplain at Donovan State Prison and has a passion for discipleship and prayer.

DESCRIPTION: Practicing the story of God in everyday family rhythms through interacting with book, “Habits of the Household. Most families live by "accidental" habits shaped by stress and technology. However, by intentionally designing liturgies—small, repetitive patterns of behavior—we can turn mundane moments like mealtimes and bedtimes into profound opportunities for spiritual growth and emotional connection.
