Anger, in general, is a big emotion to carry, let alone a feeling to bring to God. Yet this is precisely what we see Jonah do in Jonah 4:1-5. I, however, have found that it is in my healthiest, most secure relationships that I am safe and able to express my grievances and pain. As a person who generally does not like conflict, bringing up something that has hurt my feelings about my loved ones, friends, and coworkers is not something I actively want to pursue or regularly engage in. To my continued surprise though, when I work up the courage to step into a growth area, I am often surprised by how healing, uniting, and connecting this process can be.
