Everywhere we turn we're told a smaller story about being human: you are your productivity, your appearance, and your online profile. The fallout? Many of us feel uncertain about our worth, stuck, and unclear about our purpose. Last Sunday we asked, “How do we know our bodies matter to God?” Scripture provides three witnesses: Creation (God made our bodies and called them good), Incarnation (Jesus took on flesh), and Resurrection (our future is bodily and restored). This week we continue Body & Soul: The Gift of an Embodied Faith series with: God’s Image: Dignity, Agency, Purpose. What does it mean to bear God’s image, and how do we live that out each day?
• Dignity: Your worth isn’t earned; you are an image-bearer. (Gen 1:27)
• Agency: You are entrusted with Spirit-empowered choices and responsibilities. (Ps 8:3)
• Purpose: You are called to partner with God in ordinary life. (Rom 8)
We’ll name the lies, listen to God’s better story, and practice one simple step you can carry into the week.
