This week we are exploring the compelling challenge to persevere in prayer found in Luke 11:1-13. This call is centered in the parable known as, "The Friend at Midnight." What is a request that you are faithfully holding up to God in prayer? And who is supporting you in that? So why do we have to persevere in prayer? Is God reluctant to answer? Does the Lord need to be convinced that our requests are worthy or that we are serious about them? Doesn't God already know what we need before we ask? These questions point to the deeper questions this parable answers which is, What is the purpose of prayer and what can we rightfully expect of God when we persevere in prayer?
